Crunchy Mountain Mama Posted February 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2006 I was just checking on Carnival's site to see how many cabins are still open on our upcoming cruise. I was able to see rooms earlier today. However, when I just checked they are showing my sailing date as unavailable. Also, I did not book through Carnival but my booking number and cabin number(I had booked a gty) are showing up automatically when I look at the gifts. Travelocity is still showing cabins available. Just curious. :)

mfs2k Posted February 9, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2006 I hope this isn't a stupid question but how can you tell how many rooms are still avail??? Thanks kim You can tell only if there are less than 10 rooms available in a category..... They show up-to 10 rooms per category if you continue in the booking process as though you were booking a cruise..... You dont have to actually book to see which cabin numbers are showing available, and their deck location If there are more than 10 available in a cetegory, they replace sold cabin numbers with available ones, so you never really know the true number unsold As the category dwindles down in availablility, you can watch the numbers drop from 10 to 9 to 8, etc.... till none left... Occasionally, one will reappear, probably due to cancellations, or room moves...

mfs2k Posted February 9, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 9, 2006 Hotwire shows a bunch of cabins available while Carnival is still saying the date requested is unavailable. There's probably a different carnival person responsible for each ship... Im on liberty, and availablilty matches everywhere i look. Maybe your ship has a newbie for a Revenue Manager.?

Im on liberty, and availablilty matches everywhere i look. Maybe your ship has a newbie for a Revenue Manager.? Possibly, it is looking like a computer glitch or human error on the Carnival site. I spoke with my TA a moment ago to switch our dining arrangements. She said the ship has plenty availabilty. This was coming from the Carnival rep she had on the other line. Ah the things I waste my time on while dreaming about my cruise.;)
Crunchy Mountain Mama Posted February 9, 2006 Author #9 Share Posted February 9, 2006 As a matter of fact the Carnival site says there are no western caribbean cruises available for any dates on Fascination. They better fix that one quick!
