European Splendor

We were booked on the new MS Ryndam in May 2021 from Rome to Amsterdam.  That has been updated as the new MS Rotterdam and rescheduled to August 2021.  HAL is showing the "7 Day Premier Cruise" (August 1st-8th) and a 21 day combo of the "7 Day Premier Cruise" and the "14 Day European Splendor".  They are not listing the "14 Day European Splendor" separately.  Is the logic to sell the more expensive 21 day cruise first and sell "leftover" cabins later for the 14 day European Splendor segment?

I would suspect that the logic is to make sure that everyone that booked the original 17 day premier voyage, plus the ones that booked the original 7 day and 10 day segments get first priority in booking the new voyages. The 7 day was not sold out before the change, so there would be space either way on that segment.

Ah, that makes sense.  We have a friend that wants to join us for the 14 day European Splendor cruise.  Hopefully HAL opens that segment soon.

Checked on this cruise today, it’s back up for booking.  I’m also going on the European Splendor.  Fingers crossed all goes well with finishing the ship.

Agree. We are booked on the new Rotterdam in September 2021. Ironically,  our last HAL voyage was on the last Rotterdam through the Panama Canal last March. The last full cruise of that Holland ship.
