blandadi Posted April 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2004 Can anyone tell me what type of lock is on bathroom door in cabin. I have a 5 yr old boy that could lock himself in the bathroom. Want to be prepared ahead of time if I can. We are leaving on 5/7 - coming up fast now.
Salty Dawg Posted April 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2004 Hopefully you aren't in a balcony cabin. The little darling might see you go out there & lock the door behind you!

hstrybuf Posted April 30, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2004 Hmmm, I don't remember a door lock on the bathroom door on the Legend, but then I had no reason to use it. I'd suggest you take some duct tape and tape it open if there is a lock. Salty, that actually happened to us in a hotel on Cape Cod. Our youngest child flipped the lock on our sliding door to the balcony and couldn't get it open. Luckily we were only on the second floor and could yell down to passersby that we needed help. nosnobunny Posted April 30, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2004 The locks are the standard dead bolt type. You'd have difficulty getting in there if he locked himself in. Definately try the duct tape. Beth
Kenster Posted April 30, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2004 If someone gets locked in the bathroom, I'm sure a steward could be summoned immediately to unlock the door. Actually, there are some children I have seen on cruises that should be locked away- along with their parents. britt-britt Posted April 30, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 30, 2004 just came back from the Miracle. There is a deadbolt on the door, but it's just to keep someone from accidentaly walking in on you. You can easily unlock it from the outside with a coin. Have a great trip.
