Grand list and kids?

Just wondering how this affected families that may have had children in the kids program???? I would be terrified if I were separated from my children and this had happened. Did any parents feel reluctant to let their young ones "do their own thing" after the list/turn? We are cruising the Grand in April and and weary about letting them participate in activites around the ship only supervised by counselors and not myself. Any insight?

Our daughter was with us at the time of the incident. I don't think the Kids Fun Zone was open yet (Since we were only 2 hours out of port). Our daughter loved the kids fun zone (Ana and Alycia were great).
