Which Seattle Hotel w/Train to Vancouver

Hi All,

We arrive in Seattle May 19th at 5pm, then take the Amtrack to Vancouver in the morning for the Zuiderdam. Where would you stay that evening? Is there a hotel with shuttle to amtrak station? Is the area near the amtrak station ok? We would like to at least be able to have a nice dinner out somewhere.

Also, on the return we will be taking the train and connecting the next morning for an AM flight home.

Thanks...Barb

There is only one hotel that I know of in the immediate location of the Amtrak station, but it is still about a 5-10 minute walk, it is the Pioneer Square Best Western. Have not heard anything about it though. I would recommend checking one of the travel web sites or a TA to see if you can get any DT hotel deals. I have only heard of a couple that are closer to the Seattle Center that have shuttle service, so you would need to catch a taxi or a airport shuttle to DT and then catch a taxi to the train station in the AM.

Some hotels in the DT area are:

The Alexis

The Seattle Marriott Waterfront

The Edgewater Inn

Hotel Monaco

The Westin

Sheraton

Hilton

W

The Paramount Hotel

Roosevelt

Sorrento Hotel

Renaissance Seattle Hotel

Grand Hyatt Seattle

Crowne Plaza Seattle

Red Lion on Fifth Avenue

Inn at Harbor Steps

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Seattle Downtown

Hotel Vintage Park - A Kimpton Hotel

Mayflower Park Hotel

On your return to Seattle, I would just stay at a hotel near the airport, most have airport shuttles from the hotel to the airport in the AM.

Hope this information helps you.
