nybumpkin Posted March 20, 2021 #26 Share Posted March 20, 2021 A funny story: The first time we took this tour was on Conquest in 2010. Our youngest son had just turned 10 and spent the morning at Camp Carnival (as it was named then). We knew the BTF tour likely would run later than Camp Carnival's scheduled morning program, so we told him he could check himself out and go to the cabin to wait for us and then we would go to lunch. While we were on the tour, the staff delivered chocolate-covered strawberries to our cabin as one of our tour gifts. Son entered the cabin, found the strawberries, and really enjoyed them. When we returned after the tour, we found some stems on a plate, and son didn't eat much for lunch.😃
buckeye barber Posted March 23, 2021 #27 Share Posted March 23, 2021 I did this tour 2 years ago on the Conquest. That was the first thing i booked when we go on board. The tour was very interesting. One of my favorite was the laundry room, watching the sheets go through the machine. There is a lot of walking, but very informative , good snacks to eat along the way. We have a cruise planned for next April (2022), on the Horizon , so i want to book that one too. But as others said, book early on first day, because they book up fast..... Enjoy,, you will like it
GLCM GUY Posted March 23, 2021 #28 Share Posted March 23, 2021 Have done it twice. Once on a Spirit class ship and again on the Splendor. Loved it and saw and learned a lot. The young ladies--from the training department--who conducted both tours were just excellent. Lots of walking and stair climbing--but well worth the time and cost. JayDeeJay Posted March 24, 2021 #29 Share Posted March 24, 2021 SweetCheeks takes the tour on each cruise (49) and learns/sees something new and amazing each time. Equipment, services, etc. are constantly evolving and upgrading, he’s never been disappointed. go straight to the desk the minute you board and sign up - word is getting around about what a great tour it is, and it fills up pretty quickly.
