Carnival $$ ???

Ok, so we are going on a cruise for our honeymoon!!! YEAH a first cruise for both of us....

How do these Carnvinal $$ work??? I get that we can use them for things like the spa and salon on ship and for payment of our ship account, BUT what happens if we have some left over at the end of the cruise????

We thought about asking people to get us some for wedding gifts but I do not want a bunch of carnival $$ just left, since it will likely be a few years before we can cruise again....

You probably won't have too many left, I'm sure you'll be getting plenty of pictures, being your honeymoon. You can go to the special dining room (extra), go to the casino and pull it off your account as cash, go shopping on the ship. Believe me there's plenty of places to get rid of those dollars and what's left can be returned to you at end of cruise in check form.

Congrats! When and where are you going? You can get them for wedding gifts, if you give people the specifics or booking # they can call Carnival's gift dept to apply to your Sign and Sail acct. If you get them in person, you may not have time to turn them in. We got some as gifts, I sent them to Carnival to apply to our acct. We sail in 3 weeks!

If you don't use the whole amount by the end of the cruise, the balance will be given to you in a check, bring it home, or I believe you can cash it at the Purser's Desk.

No worries, enjoy your honeymoon!

Last April we had Carnival $$'s left over after our cruise. Carnival just cut us a check just like we used cash at the end of the cruise. Now I'm not saying this is how it would work every time (every boat is different, actually every person is different LOL) but this is what we had happen to us.

If they gave the money back to us in Carnival $$'s then we were fine with that too, we try to do at least one cruise a year (if not more) so if you can't get cash back then no worries, it just gives you incentive to go on another cruise!!

Happy sailing, I hope you have a wonderful time.

Welcome to the boards, and CONGRATULATIONS!!

When's the big day? Which ship? Come on, we gotta have details!!

Lots of people here to help with any questions. Sometimes you may not get an answer real quick (some of the posters here have lives outside of the board), but be patient.

Shucks, I'm almost as excited for you as I am about our cruise.
