Anyone stay at the Queen Mary Hotel? How was it?

Just wondering since we need a room one night before cruise and one night after. TIA

I stayed there a couple of years ago for a conference. It was a nice hotel and I enjoyed the historic aspect. It would be a fun way to start your trip and it's right next to the pier so you could watch the Pride come in if you needed any help getting in the vacation mood.

DH and I stayed there about four years ago and yes it was dark inside. Personally I did not care for it but everyone has their own opinions. Did not notice a smell.

Of course it's old, but it wasn't dirty or smelly.

I've been to the Queen Mary, but did not stay overnight. At any rate, here is an over view (and I do mean OVER) ...

I enjoyed staying there for the historical aspect. The accomodations were comfortable and everything was kept very clean.
