stampincruiser Posted February 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2006 On the Summit in August to Alaska and was wondering about our cabin. We are on the Penthouse deck in cabin 6086 and with a balcony. The lifeboats are on the entertainment deck below us. Will this obstruct our view or affect pictures we might want to take from our balcony? Any information is appreciated. Thanks:)
da_cruisin_bears Posted February 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2006 We were one or two decks above lifeboats and can't say that it obstructed our view. Yes, you could not look directly down into the water from your balcony but we took plenty of pics w/o a problem. I was trying to paste a pic here but it says its too large. legalwife Posted February 19, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2006 You will be able to see out and a little angle down but no straight down view. Been there on different ship, done that. Not again. I am one of those that it bothers. I like to look straight down and straight out. It does not bother many people so you have to decide what you like. Thanks:) If you have any doubts, go to CruiseDeckplans.com and you can see a color photo of the Summit, and see the lifeboats below the cabins. We are also booked into the 6086 cabin (on different cruise) and after viewing these photos, we will stay put. Enjoy your cruise.
