Water temp in March?

I hope to do some snorkeling in Grand Caymen and Cozumel in late March. How is the water temperature that time of year at these two places? I want to be sure the experience will be a fun one for my family but we do not have wet suits.

You shouldn't need wetsuits. I have done 2 westerns in march and only wore a shorty on 2 dive trips out of 4. To be honest, I probably would have been fine without it.

I am planning on a Dec cruise to the Eastern Caribbean.Would I be wise to take my 3 or 1mm wetsuit and diveskin?

As usual it depends on how cold you get. I looked in my log book and in December a year or two ago the water in St. Thomas was 72 degrees (~ 20 degrees C). I'm from the northeast U.S. so a 1mm would be fine for me

but I think I dove a 3mm just because I didn't have a 1mm at the time and

I wasn't overheated (besides, either packs pretty light).

I have done a lot of dives in Coz in Late Feb--I have always used my full 3mm. I get cold there on the drift dives but GC--I never wear a wetsuit unless it is night time or deep dive with alot of fire coral.
