Our first one was 4 or more years old and was difficult to use as the instructions were poor and lacking.  I did not use it often.  We got a new one in December when it was on sale at a very good price.  It is a lot more user-friendly and I now use it fairly often.  We even got one for our Texas house thisnspring.

I love my Instant Pot. For someone as forgetful as I am, it will take a chicken from frozen solid to on the table in an hour. That’s 30 minutes cooking time the warm up/ cool down times. A pot full of peeled potatoes are ready to mash after 6 minutes cooking, plus a 10 minute cool down.

After reading all the comments about what people do with the InstantPot, I realize I can do a lot more with mine.  I never thought about cooking the potatoes for mashed potatoes in it.  That is quicker and it would mean, I wouldn't need to keep and eye on the pot in case the water boiles over, which has been known to happen.😉
