Covid test results

Dear All,

We are very excited about the upcoming trip.  We are used to wearing masks again and are fine with that.

I am a little nervous about getting our covid test results back in a timely fashion.  We have to drive 6 hours to get to the airport of departure.  I think if all we need is the rapid test, we will be ok.  Otherwise, not sure.  Our local CVS says it takes 2 to 4 days to get the results back on the non-rapid tests.

What are others doing?  Hopefully see you soon!

We are on Viking Sky this week.  We had a rapid test performed the day before our flight.  No issues at all when leaving Chicago or in arriving in Iceland.

Dear All, We leave from San Diego but transit Chicage.  Wondering when the 72 hour restriction for testing starts.  A Viking agent was not sure but thought from the time we board in Chicago.  That complicates our lives!  any research? or answers?  I have sent a chat to the Icelandic board of health but have not had a responsde yet.  Jo Fuller

This is a concern.

We recently went to a Sandals Resort in Grenada.
The results for our test came by email

about 6 hours before our connecting flight. 😮

Grenada government said,

“As long as your test was done within  3 days ( not so much 72 hours) ahead of your flight, it is okay .”

Worth looking in to.

I should have said, we got our test paperwork checked before our “international” flight.

Dear All, We leave from San Diego but transit Chicage.   I sent a chat to the Icelandic board of health which indicated the 72 hours start with the first flight.  Am nervous though as what if there is a delay in departure.  We are having trouble finding a place to get the test on Saturday as it is a 3 day holiday weekend.  We do have appointments for Friday.  Any thoughts?  Thanks you.   Jo Fuller
