Manhattan to Cape Liberty Transfer

I wonder if someone can help me with this request for my parents. They are sailing on Constellation in April from Cape Liberty, however they are flying in a few days earlier to spend some time in Manhattan.

 

What would be the best way for them to get from downtown Manhattan to the Port? Obviously they could get a normal yellow cab, I just wondered if Celebrity offer any service. They are quite elderley so could not really manage with their luggage going to far on their own.

 

Also, how far is the port from Manhattan and how much is a yellow cab likely to cost?

I think a cab is the way to go. It's not that far. I don't believe Celebrity is provided any transportation from NYC.

If they don't mind paying a little extra they ought to look into asking the concierge in their hotel to arrange a "black car" or "executive car" pick up. With this they will likely get a cushier car and the driver will be more apt to help with the bags. Black car's are not limo's but are more private cars that can be hired for pickups at specific times and locations. They will also accept a credit card.
