patrick486 Posted February 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2006 We are a party of two sailing 4/15 on the HAL Noordam and have booked a tour out of Barcelona on April 28 with Spainish Trails Adventure (spanish-trails.com). They normally don’t pick up, but if we can put together a group of 6 or 8 they will modify their schedule and pick us up at the ship. Their description of the tour we have booked is as follows: “Our Medieval Mountain Village trip is the perfect mix of an amazingly well-preserved 16th century stone village, breathtaking scenery in the Pyrenees mountains and higher-altitude valleys in the area, and some exercise while exploring the winding cobblestone streets of the village and walking/hiking alongside a river down to the top of a 360-foot / 20-meter waterfall. All followed by an incredible (and huge) meal in a 200-year old village restaurant, which may be the best, most authentic Catalan meal you'll have on your trip to Barcelona. This picturesque village is home to about 150 people and is such a tranquil get-away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Also included in the price of 75 EUR / person is a light breakfast of fresh pastries and a beverage in a local bakery upon arrival in the village, as well as bottled water for the hike. This trip normally departs at 9am, but we could depart at 8am, arriving back in the city around 4pm“. If you are interested in this tour please e-mail Patrick at prm57@charter.net.
