suey Posted February 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2006 I have noticed that not many people include this ship in their past cruises list, has anyone else cruised on her? She was the ship between Fairstar and Pacific Sky.:)
Druke I Posted February 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2006 I sailed on her when she was still Sitmar's Fairsea, before Princess bought Sitmar. That was RT up to Alaska, from San Francisco, 6-78. She was a lovely ship in her day. There some interesting photos of her, either at http://www.ssmaritime.com or http://www.maritimematters.com. I don't remember which of those two sites.

NARELLE Posted February 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2006 We went on the FAir Princess the first time as a family. The kids were 9 and 7. We were on G Deck right on the waterline as I could here the water lapping on the sides at night when in our bunks. Troy was seasick 2nd day in and never went to breakfast again after that. Hasn't stopped him or us everyone had a ball and as you can see we have done many cruises since that first sailing. He doesn't get sick now just give him a pill before we sail. We are always go midship now and mainly have an outside cabin to see out. we were originally booked for b2b SE Asia in September but as you know it has been sold and our cruise cancelled. The kids and even us were very disappointed but as of last Friday we have now booked next January 2007 to sail from Auckland back to Sydney on the Sapphire Princess. After going on Sapphire with DH last March from Syd - Bangkok and then the Pacific Sun for the first time in December we have really been spoilt by Princess cruise line. The cruise itself has actually worked out cheaper than what we paid to go on the Sun this last December - not counting that we have to pay for airfares over to Auckland. Everyone is really excited about this cruise now as we have never been to NZ (I have when I cruised in my younger days). We are going to fly over a week beforehand and do Nth Island on our own before boarding the ship. narelle
