djd1023 Posted February 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2006 I have read that there is only one electrical outlet in each room. My question is the outlet a double outlet like you would find in your house or is there truly only one outlet?
Ltvscout Posted February 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2006 I have read that there is only one electrical outlet in each room. My question is the outlet a double outlet like you would find in your house or is there truly only one outlet? Truly a single outlet. ;) The other outlet is the 220v european style. Bring an extension cord with you that has multiple outlets.

flynrph Posted February 20, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2006 You see a power strip on the suggested list of items to bring! We cruisers have been there and done that, so for you first time cruisers, pay attention. There is a reason for most of the items.

kimmimom Posted February 20, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 20, 2006 I brought along the strip and did not use it once. The things we had that needed plugs were cell phone (but no need to charge over and over since it couldn't be use on ship, just charged the last night), a nightlight for kids, camcorder battery. The hair dryer is already in a plug so the hair dryer does not take up the one plug in the room. There is also one in the bathroom that is good for a razor. So unless you take all that other stuff, noise machine, laptop, fan, etc, you may not need a strip (ours honestly just collected dust). If you have several things that you will run at once, you will need it, but if you can charge one thing on Mon night, another thing on Tues night, etc, you won't need it
