Cruizer Bill Posted November 30, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2021 On November 27, 2021 the Azamara Quest sailed into Key West and became the very first cruise ship to return to this port since March, 2020. We were warmly welcomed by most, but not all, of the locals. We had welcome signs up and some he locals came up to us and thanked us for returning. some other people were drawing water samples trying to show we were kicking up sand and causing environmental harm. We were flanked by both Police and Coast Guard ships during our stay. Not everyone was happy to see us. We had a great time, Key West had small crowds, great weather and a LOT of fun visiting Maragaritaville!

Roel94 Posted December 2, 2021 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2021 Crystal was docked next to us and sailed out after we did. I saw one sign welcoming us back. Went to my favorite haunts in town. I saw crystal cruisers as they kept their tracer bracelets on in a bar. I personally would have in my purse. I was in several places no one knew I was cruising and had great time everywhere

The tourists are a big part of these cities’ economy.
Cruizer Bill Posted December 12, 2021 Author #7 Share Posted December 12, 2021 I checked Hotels.com for the price of a hotel room in Key West. Prices pretty much start at $500 per night! All the more reason to visit Key West from a cruise ship, and this may explain why some people do not want the big cruise ships to show up! 1
