Rod and Barry from Australia checking in for our first overseas cruise since the pandemic started...a bit nervous about it all and hope all goes smoothly. Looking forward to meeting new folk here..also on the subsequent Aurora Northern Lights Christmas cruise

Don't know if you are heading to Gran Canaria on your cruise, if you are then Playa Del Ingles / Maspolamas is one of the worlds largest gay resorts, well worth a visit if you dock there, and have the time.

Thanks, not really into going to gay resorts when docking, prefer to tour the island/area, but thanks for adding your ideas

Hello,

 

If you are going to do your own thing and drive, then I would advise you to pass the areas of Maspalomas, Playa del Ingles and Sonneland (all to the south of highway GC-1) very quickly (or with your eyes closed). This is because you would otherwise see things that would shock most people in Kings Cross in Sydney or Fortitude Valley in Brisbane! 🤣
