I am a former special education teacher, so I understand your concerns. While the camp counselors won't be specifically trained to handle special needs children, they come in contact with all kinds of special needs kids every week, so this isn't something new for them. You might want to stick around for a while on the first day, just to see how your child responds to the new surroundings, and more importantly see how the other children respond to her. As we all know, kids can be the cruelest of creatures, so being extra diligent is important. The counselors will make an extra effort to see that she's involved in all the activities.
