Good place for drinks close to the pier?

Hi! I was wanting to meet some friends at a place for drinks that's close to the pier. We'll be on the Carnival Glory. They will be on different cruise line (Royal Caribbean), so it would be good if the place was easy for both of us to find. I got the impression that the Boardwalk is outside of Philipsburg & about a 3min water taxi ride away from the pier, and has bars. Does anyone know of a good place? :)

Since you and your friends will probably be docking near one another in St. Marten, why not meet on the pier just beyond where the cruise ships dock at Sharky's?? It's in the same area as the water taxi and you can't beat the ice cold beer there and beautiful view of the harbor! What could be better than sipping your favorite cocktail or beer on a stool with that view! It's our favorite watering hole in St. Marten, we've been there several times. It's also a great place to hang right before boarding the ship at the end of the day.:D
