Caribbean 9pm LTF boxing day

Recommended Posts

We are travelling Boxing Day and stressed out by time frames for results when many places will be closed in the days prior…

can we use lloyds chemist for PCR and how/ where do we get the LTF to do xmas day at 9pm? So stressful….

, all customers regardless of age must complete an antigen (rapid flow) test to be taken after 21:00 the day before you are due to fly, but before checking-in for your outbound flight at your UK airport.

Hi @Lucielush71, welcome to the forum  😀

You are leaving it a little late - but should be ok if you order today ....

TUI have links to their providers ...

https://www.tui.co.uk/destinations/info/covid19-testing

Chronomics are currently cheapest for the package you need
(see screenprint - you will need to select the top two options, and then on the next page select the number of travellers - 1 set per traveller)
Total £50 per person - if you order today, these will almost certainly arrive in time.

https://www.chronomics.com/tui

The LFT's are effectively self-certified. There is no "human" checking your result.

  • You take the test at 21:00
  • You take a photo of the cartridge showing the negative test
  • You log on to Chronomics portal
  • You follow the instructions, uploading the photo at the appropriate point
  • You instantly (within 15 seconds) get a negative certificate - available to print from the Chronomics portal, and also sent to you via email
  • You show this certificate at the Airport when you arrive for your outbound flight
  • You also show this certificate at the port, before boarding the board  (see screenprint)

The PCR tests will arrive while you are away - they are in boxes that go through your letter box - one box per person

  • You take this PCR test as soon as you can - as soon as you arrive home from the Airport
  • You post the test as soon as you can - using a Royal Mail Priority postbox if possible - usually at your local sorting office but sometimes desginated post boxes (n.b. you can still use a normal post box but these dont get emptied as often as the Priority ones)
  • When the test arrives at Chronomics, they process it and provide  the result - hopefully negative - within 24 hours of reciept - they will come via e-mail and will also be available in your account on the Chonomics portal
  • You are supposed to self-isolate at home until you get these results - as you can see from my screenprint, this can actually be three days after you took the test before you get the result - to allow for the postal process and laboratory testing ...n.b. this is getting faster but over Christmas it may be slower. I took my test on the evening of the 17th, posted on the morning of the 18th, was received by Chronomics on the morning of 21st and processed by lunchtime 21st

Hope this helps!

Note the "Download" button on the result - this produces the printable certificate that you need to show at the Airport / Port .... looks like this

Again note the times ... i took the test at 9:15 - the certificate was generated at 9:16

Thanks for this information and the screenshots for the PCR tests.  It's good to see what everything should look like.  We received our LFT packages from Chronomics today.  Just hoping the Spanish don't follow France's policy on UK visitors.  It's all a bit worrying.
