Galveston Cruise Terminal Parking

Taking a cruise out of Galveston the first week of January on RCCL.  Looking into parking and would love to hear some suggestions.  What would be the best lot, if I want to park and walk to terminal.

What is the difference between “express lot” and “SMP Garage”? 
I take it one is “uncovered” and the other “covered”.
Which is closer to the terminal that Adventure OTS uses? 
Are they both walking distance or both shuttles? 
any preferences?

Yes one Express is “uncovered”

and the other Garage is “covered”  but top floor is uncovered .

 

EXPRESS

Uncovered ground is inside Harborside and terminal access area,

right next door to Terminal # 2 for Liberty and  Adventure. 

and walkable !    

 

GARAGE

Is across Harborside outside terminal access area and walkable also .

Believe both have shuttles if desired. 

 

I would do EXPRESS 

It is the closest parking to terminal for Adventure and Liberty

We just used Express lot for our Adventure cruise, and it was great.  So nice to walk from the terminal to the car in just a couple of minutes.

Thank you @ssb. The Express lot looks great for us (Liberty in a couple of weeks). Does it require a reservation ahead of time?
