lynn-in-nc Posted December 22, 2021 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2021 I'm so looking forward to getting back on a Ponant ship. We're on the Shetland/Orkney etc. itinerary leaving from Edinburgh, and the schedule says embarkation between 9-10 pm and departure at 11 pm. Could that really be true, and does anyone know if there will be an opportunity to board before 9 pm?
Rare AussieBoyTX Posted December 22, 2021 #2 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Le Champlain is repositioning from Copenhagen to begin your cruise, so there's no information on when it gets to Edinburgh. Given the distance, it could easily be arriving that evening.
lynn-in-nc Posted December 22, 2021 Author #3 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Ah, thanks for that. Trying to figure out how much time we need in Edinburgh.
cruising cockroach Posted December 23, 2021 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2021 At least it's a short hop. Le Soléal was late 8-10 hrs on a Honolulu-Maizuru hop (due to a weather diversion: Course after passing the far fringes of Hawaii (French Frigate shoals) was so southerly that I thought the ship was going to go around the western/southern end of Honshu. Even the captain missed his flight home.
