Quarantine on ship or put off at next port?

We have recently been on a P & O cruise where several passengers tested positive and were off-loaded at the next Spanish port to continue their quarantine in a local hotel at they own expense. This apparently is the ruling iwhen sailing in Spanish waters.

We are booked to sail on the Norwegian Star in February from Buenos Aries to Antartica. Does know what the proticals are on NCL and South American ports?
