Silly shoe question

It has been a few years since we did the stingray excursion, but at that time they didn't want you to wear anything on your feet in case you accidentally stepped on a stingray. Apparently it is easy to injure their fragile membrane. We are booked on the Rays, Reef, and Rum Point tour with Nativeway this coming June and look forward to seeing the stingrays again; it really is an awesome experience. You might want water shoes on the Island part of the tour, but I'm not sure exactly what that part of the tour involves.
