Mariner - connecting balconies

On our upcoming cruise on the Mariner, we were unable to get connecting cabins (only one side available - go figure!) but we are beside each other. Is there any way to open the balconies so that at least they connect?

Thanks, I'll just ask lots of people. We actually booked through Royal Caribbean instead of an agency. Would it help if I requested it through them or just deal with it on board?

 

Looks like we'll be on the same cruise! We leave Port Canaveral on June 11th - first stop private beach!!

They would not allow the balcony dividers to be opened on the Mariner this past October. The Captain at the time was Captain Johnny (one of my favorites :) )
