For the Bergen to Barcelona sailing, does it matter which side of the ship to book?

We did this cruise in reverse and were on the starboard side, which was wonderful, especially when going up the coast of Norway in the early morning hours. I got up at 4 am to sit on the balcony and watch the land of my great-grandparents come into view. It was magical.

You’ll be going the other way, so you’ll presumably be leaving Norway in the dark. But being on the land side (in your case, port) would allow you to see more coastline on those occasions when there’s coastline to be seen.
