cruiser01 Posted February 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2006 Has anyone from Canada (Rogers or Fido user) ever used their phone on an NCL ship? What is the charge? As I understand, US mobile customers are charged $2.49/minute for using the Cingular tower....
cruzinQT Posted February 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2006 I am not from Canada but it was a little over $2.00 a minute for Verizon service. That still beats the ship price of $6.95 a minute. You can also use the Credit Card pay phones at ports but i am unsure of the cost.:D
riz Posted February 22, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2006 You can change your plan for 1 billing month prior to your cruise to a plan that offers North American long distance...you can make unlimited calls with no roaming fees. I have done this with both Rogers and Telus and it saves in the long run. Service is not always available on Telus but Rogers seems to have a better range in the islands.
