MNgardens Posted February 10, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2022 We will be in port from 12-6. It is also marked as a water platform day. Can anyone tell me where the tender drops us? Is it in the heart of the old town? Did anyone eat lunch in town or can recommend a place for a snack/gelato? Thanks.
r&rd Posted February 10, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2022 It’s been a while since we were there but the town is up a hill from the tenders. It is very walkable but in the past there has been a little shuttle taking people up and down. We ate at a lovely little cafe (on the right a little past the main gate) that had a view of the water and the ship anchored in the distance. Don’t know how covid has affected shops and cafes. It is a small, quaint village but one of my favorite Windstar ports.
J&MSails Posted February 11, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2022 We were there in 2015, and like r&rd is still one of our favorite ports. The shuttle bus was very close to the tender drop off and back then cost half a euro each way. Be sure to visit the Malva Gallery just inside the main gate, the owner is a very talented artist. Also, be sure to hike up through the town. We went to the top of the hill and the view is amazing.
