Hideaway Beach on Coco Cay

Has anyone that's been to Coco Cay recently noticed any development going on for the new Hideaway Beach area?  It was projected to open late this year.  Thought they might be ramping up construction and curious as to where it's going to be located.

I believe there were rumours originating from a survey they sent out that it would be an adult only area but I don't think anything was confirmed about what Hideaway beach would actually be.

Ive got my first ever Royal Caribbean cruise in November, on Oasis ots which is stopping at coco cay the same day as Odyssey ots. If the ships are back towards full capacity by then the coco cay expansion would be a welcome one.

Based on where it will be located, there probably will not be any previews of what is going on.  That area will be easily blocked off if it is not already.   It has been mentioned that it is to be adults only.  I hope they do not charge admission to the area, but I would not be surprised if they do.   I would expect there to be Cabanas and Day Beds for a fee.

I too hope it's not a fee area, but that remains to be seen.  If it is, I'll just hang out at Chill Island...

@Blizzard54 Do you know where it's going to be located?  I had heard on the north side of the island, but that's mostly rocks from what I recall.

it is going to be down on the other end, way behind the water park area.  I walk as far as I can, but you cannot get into that area at all.  We see machines, but you cannot see what is going on.

My guess it will be a "fee" area.  Doesn't matter to us, we love Chill Beach and will continue to enjoy our "included" loungers/umbrella and the included buffets.  We don't need anything more than that.

I'd agree except wouldn't there be significant overlap with Coco Beach?  I don't know that many families are spending the day there especially when you can keep the kids much happier at the water park for half the cost.

Regardless of where it is or what it will or won't cost, I'm more than content at the current free beach with the free food.  I'm sure we can find a spot that's 'kid limited'. lol
