What Time Do I Have To Leave Venice?

If my flight leaves at 3:30 PM from Venice to London, and I am staying at say the Gritti Palace hotel, what time should I head out to the airport if I take a water taxi?

 

I don't want to be too rushed going to and navigating the airport, but I want to savor every precious minute we have in Venice.

The water taxi ride across to the airport will take about a half an hour depending on how much gas the driver wants to use. Since you probably will want to be at the airport at least an hour before your flight and you will still need to get from the water taxi stop up to the airport (a 5 minute free bus ride if the bus is there for you when you arrive), my guess would be that you would need to have the water taxi pick you up no later than 1:30 PM but probably 1:00 PM would be safer.
