Alex71 Posted March 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2022 Does Costa offer paid upgrades prior to the cruise like many other lines do? I'm seeing some nicer cabins that became available.
gerryuk Posted March 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2022 Never seen paid upgrades with Costa, but they may do them. Give them a call, with them struggling to fill their ships even at reduced capacity, you may be in luck.

Janet&Carl Posted March 29, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2022 You can always pay to upgrade if there is a cabin available. I have never been offered to bid for an upgrade but I have changed from a mini suite to a full suite when one became available by paying the price difference.
dritan Posted March 29, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 29, 2022 I wanted to do a paid upgrade before my Costa Smeralda cruise last October. However it appeared on the website that all balconies were sold out ( unlikely due to capacity restrictions at the time). I was told that I could ask via reception when I got on the ship. Called them as soon as we got in our room and was told the upgrade from inside to Balcony was 400 euros total which I accepted. They were keen to show me the cabin before I made a decision. It was great and they even helped me to move my luggage that evening. 1
