jdaa Posted February 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2006 These are probably dumb questions.... We're on the Star (2600 passengers). Our ship arrives at 12:00 and we need to check in w/ Captin Marvin's at 1:15. Should I be concerned about having enough time to tender in and get there on time? Also, his website says check-in time is local Cayman time. Would that be the same time as is shown on the ship's itinerary provided by the cruise line? Thanks. chopper825 Posted February 26, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2006 We were on the Star in January and booked with Captain Marvins. We got on line about an hour earlier than they tell you for tender tickets. As it worked out, the ship arrived a bit earlier and we were given tender tickets and boarded the tender immediately, so make sure you are all there and ready to go. We got to Captain Marvins about an hour earlier and checked in with them and shopped around a little bit. By the way, they were really great. We had booked the shorter one stop snorkel tour but they had us down for the longer one with two snorkeling stops. They had no boats going out that day on a one stop, but they called a boat pilot and we actually were taken on our own private tour. We were back in plenty of time for a drink at Senor Frogs and a little shopping on the walk back to catch a tender. Our guide was great at Stringray City. I have to say that with all the tender talk I was really nervous about getting off on time, but getting on line really early worked out just fine. Also, we met lots of people standing on line and it was kind of fun. Have a great time.
