eyegirl Posted March 26, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2022 Has anyone stayed at the San Diego Holiday Inn Express Bayside. We are considering staying for 1 night and leaving our car there while on the cruise. Is the parking lot safe and secure? Thanks
KeepCalmBearOn Posted March 26, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2022 The parking lot at the Holiday Inn Express Bayside is what I'd consider "safe" but it isn't "secure" as in fenced or enclosed. That said, I'd have zero issue parking there for a cruise. I'd park on the Nimitz Blvd side of the hotel. You are right next to Naval Base Point Loma on one side and Navy housing on the other.

KeepCalmBearOn Posted March 29, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 29, 2022 I'd rather be at the Holiday Inn San Diego - Bayside. It is a better neighborhood than the "Old Town" location, which isn't really in Old Town. Underground doesn't mean it is any more secure than above ground. I had my car once broken into in a secured underground lot. But if it is the only place you can get, it is okay.
