Are UBER cars allowed into Galeston Cruise Port?

Recommended Posts

I've heard from a few posts on here they are not. But i have not been able to find anything for certain online elsewhere.

If they aren't, I assume there are plenty of  traditional taxi services available Galveston?

They aren't supposed to be allowed in but we took an Uber to the port on March 26th and she drove us right up to the gate.

It might be more of an issue for pick up?  I'm not sure.
When we left, we used Lyft so no issues.

Lyft is allowed in, FYI.

Yeah.  I was fine with walking if we got dropped off outside the gate.  At one point the traffic was so bad I asked to be dropped off because it would be quicker to walk.
But if you want to make sure you go right up to the doors, I'd just go with Lyft. It's just as easy.
