Whats the hush hush about CD's?

I would like to know why in the world Carnival keeps who the CD's are on each ship such a secret.I would love to sail again with Malcolm in the Middle or Greg. And if I knew which ship they were on I would go. I am sure along the way there will be CD's I do not care for and I would avoid them unless there was somewhere I really wanted to go to. I would also like to sail again with Ronaldo, he really made for a great time when he was on the Triumph. So anybody know what the reason is that they keep or try to keep it a secret?

Maybe they think people will not book a certain cruise unless they like the CD...not me, I don't much care who the CD is, they have very little influence on my enjoyment of my trip. icon_wink.gif

The CD really doesn't matter to me much either. I have had several and I would cruise with them all again. Some that cruise critic people like, I don't. Nancy

If I had to venture a guess, it would be that the CD sometimes takes vacations and stuff, and if people booked just to be with them, they'd have a lot more complaints. Again...merely a guess.

Malcom was on the Spirit last week. The CD, Michael annonced on the last day he was getting off the Spirit at Vancouver with the guests - he had just found out and was happy about it. I gather from that the CD schedules are somewhat flexible.

I was told by RCCL that information about staff and crew is not publically released because of security reasons. Im not really sure what that means though. Dangerous passengers on the loose looking for their next Cruise Director to take home in their luggage.
