BallFour4 Posted May 1, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2022 Waiting on the Breeze in a line that stretches to Harborside in Galveston would not be the perfect start to a cruise. We’ve sailed from here since 2002 on 36 cruises and never seen this. Oh, and it’s 85 on the pavement. We’re headed to Willie G’s. Come on.

mz-s Posted May 1, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2022 Shoreside staff seems to be woefully unprepared for these recently full ships.
CC Rider 69 Posted May 2, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 2, 2022 Special circumstances, Breeze had to wait for Dream to leave at 3pm, which is 30-60 minutes earlier than usual. The Breeze was then able to dock. People were told not to come early to the terminal. So, the shore staff was doing two embarkations at T1 today instead of one. The Dream leaving and Breeze backing in. The Breeze loading it passengers in 4.5 hours today, remarkably quick.

I have not been paying attention, but the Breeze sails a 5-5-4 rotation that brings her here on alternate Saturdays, Mondays and Thursdays. The Galveston Port schedule for 2022 had her here yesterday. That is why I questioned if there was a mechanical or logistics problem. I did some research, and they had a longer crossing than expected after dry-dock, hence a day shortened cruise for this sailing. They will be back Thursday. .
