When does "Bid for Upgrade" open?

Hi everyone - just wondering when people tend to receive the email letting you know that your sailing is now open to bid for an upgraded cabin?

 

I went on the link provided (in another thread) and it says you have to be within 90 so do you usually receive the email 90 days out or is it much closer to your sail date (we are sailing in August and currently 89 days out) so I didn't know if I should be checking daily on the website or do I have to wait for the email?

Looking at my email history

8th May departure - email received 11th March

11th June departure - email received 2nd April

18th June departure (B2B with above) also received 2nd April

I received an upgrade offer for a July 10 cruise in on April 2.  For some reason, I don't seem to be eligible for an upgrade on June 29 cruise despite it appearing that there are dozens of empty cabins.

Not all cruises have upgrade offers. Depends on how booked the cruise is.
