Transfers in Orlando?

I just booked the Mariner or the Seas for 5/28/06 (any others out there <G>) we are a family (Mom, Dad and 2 adult children) of four, would it be better to get a cab or get transfers from the Orlando airport to the pier?

 

Any helpful hints for this cruise would be great too..thanks so much.

A cab the whole way from MCO to Port Canaveral would be way too pricey. You can do the RCI transfers, use independent transport services such as Art's Shuttle (recommended by many on these boards), rent a car one way, or use a limo service.

 

We did one day rentals through Budget one time and hired a stretch limo from Southern Elegance limos another. The limo cost a little more, but the kids thought it was a blast, and we got first class treatment when we pulled into the RCI terminal, too.

We always use budget one way rentals and take the free shuttle to the port from budget,this always work very well for us.

Thanks for the invitation and the link Dale, just joined the thread. Anyone else using transfers or Budget?

 

Did I just read the airport was about 45 mins from the pier? Didn't realize it was that distance.

My mom is flying into Orlando and using the RCL shuttle, which you need to book through your travel agent or if you didn't have an agent, RCL. It is $25 per person from the airport to the pier.
