putchky Posted May 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2022 Does NCL still Covid test you before you get on the ship? Or do we need to get the test prior to getting to the port We are thinking of going to Bermuda. Thank you

Thank you Currently at the upper left hand side of NCL website is a link that takes you to a page where you'd have found this: https://www.ncl.com/sail-safe#sail-safe-faq
Rare styles27 Posted May 24, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2022 (edited) We left from Boston on 04/15 at that time only unvaccinated children (and adults who qualify) were being tested again at the pier before embarking. Everyone has to bring proof of a negative Covid test with them to the pier as well (test taken 2-3 days prior depending on vaccination status) Having said that with Covid cases rising again in our area things could change so check the NCL site regularly for updates and even after you book check it daily as it gets closer to your sailing. Some schools here in RI are again requiring masks starting this week 🤦🏻♀️ Edited May 24, 2022 by styles27

It should be ok for both NCL and Bermuda.

Had our results by 8:50ish and immediately uploaded our results to the Bermuda site and by 9:32 we had our TA approved. Be sure to register on the Bermuda site the day you book the cruise. Pay the fee and upload your vaccination cards. They will send you an email confirmation and then 3 days before the sailing they will send you a reminder to get tested and upload results. If you do it that way you won’t have any problems.

You can't register on the Bermuda Travel Authorization site until they have listed your ship and arrival/departure time to the island on their website. Generally 3-4 weeks beforehand. Also, you only need to upload your proof of vaccination. You no longer have to provide your negative covid test results. Although you still have to provide negative covid test results to board the ship.

Bermuda no longer the requires the test results in advance to be uploaded, but you still need to upload a copy of your vax card and pay the $40pp. You just bring the results to the port and show them at check-in. It just changed recently.
