Tink10 Posted May 26, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2022 Hello! I hope asking this question isn't prohibited and I apologize if it is, but we canceled an Alaskan cruise and I received my refund in gift cards from Carnival. We just moved and really don't expect to be cruising again, so I'm left with a whole lot of carnival gift cards in large amounts. Do any of you know a reputable place to sell them online? It seems that there aren't many gift card resale sites that take Carnival & these are too big for Ebay. Thanks in advance!
Ellaleah Posted May 26, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2022 I would try to sell them locally for cash only.
groundloop Posted May 26, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2022 I have a similar dilemma, we're sailing on HAL next month and I'll likely have excess gift cards leftover with no opportunity in the foreseeable future to sail with them again. This website was recommended to me for selling gift cards, although I haven't used it yet. https://www.raise.com/sell-gift-cards
Tink10 Posted May 26, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted May 26, 2022 Thanks! I've used Raise many times in the past, so I went to them first. Unfortunately , they don't take Carnival. 😞

byrdbrain55 Posted May 26, 2022 #7 Share Posted May 26, 2022 There is a group called "Carnival Cruise Gift Cards Buy and Sell" on a popular social media site, which we aren't allowed to name. It rhymes with Spacenook. 1

Not sure of the etiquette but maybe also you could re-gift to family or friends if you don't find a selling option? They don't expire either, according to the back of mine, so might make sense to hang on to them for that spur of the moment, "DAMMIT I NEED A CRUISE NOW!" 🤣
Bgcruising Posted May 27, 2022 #9 Share Posted May 27, 2022 Probably hard to sell, too many scammers out here to trust anyone. Good luck.
bafinegan Posted May 28, 2022 #10 Share Posted May 28, 2022 I recently sold some RCL gift cards purchased thru error from AARP ( ya I know now to never buy before I've had my coffee). I posted here and on several "social media" sites. Try posting on the specific cruise line sites. I did take a hit ( lost $100 from a $450 purchase, but felt fortunate to recoup most of that money) I used paypal thinking that was safer for both me and the purchaser. There will always be some trust involved tho. Good luck!
