Cruise planning advice please

We are planning a cruise with friends for early next year (Jan-Mar probably) and I'd like to hear some suggestions to help me plan this.

Our perameters are:

Probably Eastern or Southern Caribbean tho both couples love St. Thomas. We want verandah cabins with traditional dining. One couple wants to scuba dive at least a couple times the other doesn't really care if they get off the ship or not. Shows are not very important. Probably would like a newer ship (or least a recently refurbished one).

We're all experienced cruisers but have never cruised together. One couple is 20 (or so) years older than the other.

This is your chance to play TA for a day.

We just did the Southern itinerary on the Adventure of the Seas and absolutely LOVED it! So much so that we booked the exact the same cruise again for next year :)

We have also done the Eastern and liked that too. Both of these itineraries typically include St.Thomas as a port of call.

The reason we liked the Southern so much was because of the Aruba and Curacao stops. If you have someone in your party that loves scuba/snorkelling, you may want to take a closer look at this particular cruise. Curacao is known to be one of the best diving islands in the Caribbean.

The only downside I can see to doing the Southern is getting to San Juan. It was a bit of a pain from Toronto, but it may not be that way for you in the States?

If you book early, you will likely get the cabins you want.....

The AOS is a great ship and in my opinion, has the best itinerary :D
