Big Island -

Hilo side - Hilo Guitars & Ukuleles www.hiloguitars.com 808-935-4282

Kona side - no one listed for instruction, but check with Mele Kai Music, as they are likely to know who is offering lessons. 808-329-1454 - they're in the Old Industrial area, about a mile or so from the pier.

There's also the Ukulele House up at the King's Shops in Waikoloa. They sell ukes and should also know of instructors - 808-886-8587.

If you go on the Island Princess to Hawaii, one of the guitarists working on the ship teaches ukelele classes. I think there was at least three of them during 15 days. You can borrow an uke but my daughter brought her ukelele onboard so she and then my hubby used it for the class.
