P&O Iona Priority Dining Option

Hi There

New to the forum and have never been on a P&O Cruise before.

I have tried to look for the answer but couldn't find anything, so apologies if it has been posted before.

 

I have booked for an Iona cruise and have upgraded from the saver option to the priority dining and other additional extras.

How does the priority dining work when onboard or before?

Never heard of "priority dining". 

 

If you mean that you have upgraded from saver fare to Select fare then there is an option for choosing fist, second or freedom dining on most ships. However Iona only has Freedom dining so that option does not apply.

I have added a caption from the P&O booking page which shows the option highlighted, just in case my referencing is a bit vague.

That is what I was referring to, but as I said this is not an option on Iona, or Arvia as there is only Freedom Dining.

 

I do think that this should be made clear in the information supplied.

Hi, welcome to the forum.

 

Did you click on the little information i next to Priority Dining?  As on my PC this means :- 

• First priority for dining time and table size in the main restaurant (Club Dining only).

As has been pointed out, this is not a benefit on Iona and Arvia, as there is no Club Dining.

From my personal perspective, I pay the Select price to choose my cabin location above all else, and the additional OBC is always welcome.

Having not been on P&O before it seems that P&O are showing something on the particular booking for an Iona cruise that isn't available. No wonder I couldn't find how it works.
