Recommendation for Hotel in Jerusalem

We would like to spend an over-night in Jerusalem since we are in Ashdod for two days and wondering if there are hotel recommendations with parking.  We are a group and would need five rooms.  We could split hotels if the hotels were close to each other.

We stayed at the Harmony Hotel in 2017 on an overnight off Nautica.   Nice hotel and a nice central location with included breakfast and happy hour.    Their website says they have "parking nearby".

For a bit of Israeli flair I’d suggest the Dan Panorama and don’t miss their most excellent “Israeli breakfast” a feast to start the day.

Dear NF:

 

I strongly recommend the Waldorf Astoria in Jerusalem.  Large rooms with every amenity, beautiful public spaces, excellent breakfast and first rate security.  The location is across from Mammala Mall and near the Jaffa Gate.  It is expensive but worth it.

We stayed here also on an overnight at Ashdod. Exactly as Joe describes. We saved so much time doing this instead of going back to the ship and starting out again the next day.

Joe,  when you went to Jerusalem   did you have a tour guide that you could recommend.  We will be there on Marina in Oct., 2022 and would prefer to stay in Jerusalem for a night or two so as to have more time to tour.  Any recommendations.  Thank you..

We did have a guide, Moki Schwartz.   Highly recommended.   He was just finishing up his PhD.   He handled the hotel reservations as well.   A wonderful two days.
