cruiselova67 Posted September 20, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2022 Thank you posting the pictures . Would you mind answering a few questions? Is this the number 10 Jitney? How far from the port? Are there restrooms and chair rentals available? TIA.
reddgrits Posted September 20, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted September 20, 2022 We took the #10 there and the #12 back to the port area. We stood across from the pretty red flowered tree and waved down the jitney. It is only about 5 miles away. There was a bathroom. Chairs and jet ski rentals were available but we did not rent either. We spent 3 hours there.

reddgrits Posted October 26, 2022 Author #8 Share Posted October 26, 2022 We did not rent chairs or umbrella's but they are available. I think that we got on the jitney about 9:00 and I took the Goodmans Bay sign picture at 9:23. The stops that they make are fast for get on and offs. The driver knew where we wanted to go and while making the stop he looked in the mirrior and said Goodmans Bay here. All of the drivers are very helpful and the other passengers. We have done the jitneys several times .
CarolRoy Posted November 4, 2022 #9 Share Posted November 4, 2022 We were at Goodman's and Saunder's last week. Took #10 and told the driver we wanted to get off at Goodman's. He dropped us off at the first entrance for Goodman's. So we walked quite a way to the second entrance. Water looked nice but the beach and water were full of seaweed. It was very difficult to get in and out of the ocean because you kept sinking into the sand. Very rough on your knees. So we took a taxi back to Saunder's. They were fixing up the beach with a bulldozer. No one was there. We did check out the beach and it was the same as Goodman's - seaweed and difficult getting in and out of the water. Just like Goodman's, sinking into the sand. We then took a taxi back to the ship for $5 each. Will be going to Nassau the first week in Dec. and not sure if we want to chance these two beaches again.
CarolRoy Posted November 20, 2022 #10 Share Posted November 20, 2022 Has anyone been to Goodman's or Saunder's after hurricane Nicole that hit Nov. 9. Would like to know how the two beaches are in regard to seaweed and difficulty in getting in and out of the water. See my post above when we were there Oct. 27 after hurricane Ian.
