patch216 Posted August 5, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2022 Hi all, looking for recommendations on where I can go on my own (meaning without a boat or excursion) for snorkeling? Interested in places that have a lot of fish / coral / other sea creatures (but not jellyfish!!). Thanks in advance!

Tobacco Bay has facilities and Church Bay has none. if you have your own gear I recomend Church Bay if the surf is not too rough. As far as jellyfish if you are worried about the Man o War. they were around a lot later than usual this year but the latest reports are they seem to be gone for the season. If you mean real jellyfish. the Man o War are not jellyfish, the ocean is full of jellyfish, whearever you are. When snorkeling I have often seen schools of them. They are easy to spot because they are in swarms. Just snorkel away from the swarm. Edited August 5, 2022 by Charles4515 2
