flying into mia, cruising from fll

We were driving, but now flying to the allure on 10-1.  We fly into mia on the 30th and leave mia on 10-10.  So we have 2 nights at hotels.  I know of the train from mia to fll and back.  Because we are staying an extra day on either side of the cruise timing isn't an issue, although we do fly into mia at 1015pm (not sure the last train either way).

So what is there to be said for staying in either location?  Do hotels on either side do shuttles?  We don't need fancy.  Clean and close to food, although delivery services have changed some of that.  Am I missing anything of note?
