Has anyone actually had beer delivered by Wellwishers?

I've seen posts that people have ordered it but I'm wondering if anyone has already done it and received it in their room. Seems to me that Carnival might have a problem with it.

Yes I have seen posts where people have .. and had no problem... I will let you know in a week once I get back.. As I won't be posting from on board only after I get back here to the hotel..

If Carnival actually had a problem with it.. then they would not allow you to purchase from Wellwishers.. they have to know the ship and cabin!! Carnival Bon Voyage will give you the same case of beer but at 4 bucks a beer instead of 2.58 offered by wellwishers...

Have a great cruise. We will be gone before you get back. But this info will be helpful for next time!

We leave on Thursday so we were hoping to hear from someone who has done it and received it.

Anyone?

By the way Kelly - I see you are from Ontario. How close to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario are you?

I've ordered MANY cruise ship deliveries from Mel over at WellWishers. Aren't they great to work with?!? Really personal service and great gift baskets and other items delivered to your stateroom.

Highly recommended!

OK, I ordered two cases, plus a 12 pack for my father's stateroom for a total of $158.50 (interesting that because Wellwishers has a location in TN, we are being charged sales tax as well  .)

The lady I spoke with says that the only cruiselines that will not accept beer (maybe other items as well) are NCL and Princess. She says they have had no problems with the deliveries of beer, however if for some reason we do not receive it on the first day, we will get a complete refund. Carnival has to sign for the delivery and I also had to provide my booking numbers.

I do wish that irishnewfie would post once she receives her order. I am worried that Carnival will hold the beer or charge a fee like they do wine at dinner.

gonna keep an eye on this one! :D

how do you plan to keep it cold? bringing your own cooler?

from what I recall, those minibars are small and don't keep things very cold - - also I think in my category 11 it's already stocked? wonder what you do with the stuff in there if you aren't gonna buy it. ask the room stweard to remove it?

Replying to this so I can get subscribed. I need to look this up and I'm interested in what irishnewfie has to say when she gets back! Three cases of beer, one for each of our rooms, would be great and save us a TON in the long-run I think...

We take a soft sided cooler and use it for a carry-on, when empty you have a cooler to use.

We just removed the items from the frig and put them on a shelf. Kept wine ok, or soft drinks that you added ice to but wasn't that cold for beer.

Yep! the way I look at it, more money for the casino, pictures, "yards-o-gold", art auctions, specialty coffee, spa services, t-shirts, whooo hoooo :D

I would be happy to call your cell, however the lady I talked two said the beer is guaranteed to arrive on the day of sailing and may not be in the stateroom until after the ship sails.

We are taking a collapsible cooler that holds about 4 beers at a time. We will ice them down everyday as that's about all we will drink each day, along with the wine at dinner and a fun drink or two. I guess the kids and parents will have to clean out their fridge or use the trash can trick.

Some deliveries in Texas. Check out the website.

Yes, beer is a special request.

What kind of beer do the kids drink?

The kids drink what we drink...Coors Light. BTW - The kids are 25 and 21 year old girls...both legal. We feel safer knowing where their drinks are coming from. They have been instructed not to buy or accept any drinks while on board unless they come from us. ;)

You know, you do bring up a good point! Anyone that has access to a credit card can order beer or wine. This could get out of hand if underage "kids" get wind. Hmmmmmm

No beer on the website...I take it that is one of those "special requests you need to email them about?"

Exactly. I got a quote from them the other day for a bunch of beers I was interested in for my cruise in May.
