Earliest Flight Time/Christmas Questions

Just made a last minute decision to book a cruise over Christmas.  Trying to book airfare home.  We can leave from FLL at 10:55, or MIA from 1:40.  I like the idea of getting home earlier, just not sure if that time is doable.  Care to share any thoughts?

 

Also, we've been on many cruises, but never over the holidays.  Is there anything special you want to share for celebrating Christmas in the Caribbean?  😁

Are you sailing from FLL or MIA? 

 

If it was my choice I would take the 1340 from MIA.   My philosophy is that I don't want to stress about making an early flight after a nice relaxing vacation.  Also, MIA can be a zoo in the mornings.

We are sailing from MIA.  I think that is the way I'm leaning...  For once maybe I'll aim to be the last off the boat instead of the first...

The last time we sailed out of Miami (in Feb 2022) we got to MIA and the wait time in security alone was close to 3 hours...........................be prepared

We flew out out FLL with cruise out of MIA.  We made a 9:30 flight no problem.

We are sailing out of Orlando and our flight leaves from Sanford at 1:40 I would rather no rush and relax getting off the ship too.
